Privacy Policy

Short version: SplitStrategy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no user accounts. There is no analytics or tracking. Everything you enter into the app stays on your device. Read on for the long version.

1. Who we are

SplitStrategy is a mobile app built by HypeFuze for athletes and coaches. This privacy policy covers the SplitStrategy mobile app (iOS + Android) and this website at splitstrategy.com.

2. What information we collect

From the app

  • Nothing personal. The app does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or any other personal information.
  • No account required. You don't sign in. You don't register. There is no user database.
  • On-device data only. The race plans you build — goal times, splits, gender selection, lane choice, stride pattern, split mode — stay on your device. We never receive them.
  • No analytics. The app uses no third-party analytics or telemetry. We don't know how many times you tapped a calculator, which events you used, or whether the app crashed.

From the website

  • This website serves static HTML. No cookies are set. No analytics are loaded. No personal data is collected when you visit.
  • Standard server-side request logs may exist at the hosting provider level (IP address, request timestamp, user agent). These are retained for normal hosting operations only and are not linked to any user identity.

3. What we share

Nothing. We have nothing to share because we don't collect anything.

4. Native OS features

The app uses these operating-system features. Each is bound by the platform's own privacy policy — Apple's or Google's — not ours.

  • Share sheet. When you tap SHARE RACE PLAN, the app passes formatted text to your device's native share sheet (Messages, Mail, AirDrop, etc.). What you do with that share is between you and the OS.
  • Text-to-speech (voice playback). The app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine for the race-cue playback. No audio is recorded or sent off-device.

5. Children's privacy

SplitStrategy is designed for athletes age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13. Because the app collects no information at all, this is automatically the case. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us (which would not be possible through normal use), please contact us.

6. Future features that may change this

SplitStrategy v1.0 collects no data. A future version is planned to include an optional AI Strategy Commentary feature, included with your base $4.99 purchase at no extra cost. If you choose to tap that feature, the app will send your current race plan — event, goal time, splits, lane, stride pattern, verdict — to a server operated by us, which will forward it to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) for processing.

  • This will be opt-in per request. You tap a button to invoke it; nothing is sent in the background.
  • No personal information will be sent — only the race-plan numbers and event selections.
  • Usage will be rate-limited (currently planned at 50 calls per user per day) to keep service costs sustainable.
  • If and when this feature launches, this policy will be updated and the change will be surfaced inside the app.

We may also release additional premium features at a later date (for example: multi-athlete coaching tools, advanced analytics, or other expansions). If any such feature sends data off your device, that data flow will be disclosed here in plain English before the feature is enabled, and any data collection will require explicit opt-in. Buying a future premium feature will never retroactively change the data practices of the base app.

7. Data we don't collect (a non-exhaustive list)

  • Name, email, phone, address
  • Photos, contacts, calendar
  • Location (GPS, WiFi, cell, IP-based)
  • Health or fitness data from Apple Health, Google Fit, or any wearable
  • Microphone, camera, motion sensors
  • Device identifier (IDFA, GAID)
  • Crash logs (we don't have a crash-reporting service connected)

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — particularly when v1.5 ships with the optional AI feature. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
